Tuesday Jul 08, 2008I disagree with some of the tips. Hiding your true personality is a mistake because it WILL come out. If as a woman, you are a natural 'talker', you probably need a guy who is a natural 'listener', not a man who will talk YOU to death lol Dating is about finding someone compatible, not pretending to be someone you're not so someone you barely know will like you. If you are too deceptive up front, this WILL come out down the road and the guy will feel like he's been with two totally different women and be disappointed. By then, you will be 'invested' and the rejection will hurt. Dating is NOT about two people dressing up, pretending to be people they're not, just so they can eventually have sex and then decide they hate each other. If a guy doesn't like who you REALLY are, then he's not the guy for you. It's that simple. Reality will always burn away the illusion, so be careful about how much illusion you use. EVERYONE should be polite. Listen when someone else is speaking, not dump emotional garbage on people you barely know, nor be disrespectful to someones personal space. That has nothing to do with being yourself. If you are rude, a liar, or a sex addict then it's not dating you need but a therapist. And ladies, don't put all your eggs in one basket. You should date other guys, not so many you start calling them by each others names, but you shouldn't date only one guy at a time because you are trying to find someone compatible and a shotgun approach will be more successful than a single shot ;)
